Facebook
is most popular
social networking service, and it started in February 2004, Facebook itself is
owned by Mark Zuckerberg, Inc. As of July 2011, it has more than
800 million active
users in September 2011, and it has more than 2000 employees and offices in the
year of 2011.
In October 28, 2003 Mark Zuckerberg hacked to Harvard’s computer network and copied the
private dormitory images, so he makes a website called Facemash that included
450 visitors and 22,000 photo-views in the first 4 hours. After a few days
later the company was shut down because Mark Zuckerberg have abused and violated
copyright and individual privacy. But he dropped the charges, because of his
study project that contains social study and art history, wish he helped the
students in there study. Zuckerberg began to make a new site called Facebook on February 4 2004,
later in March 2004 Facebook developed to Stanford, Columbia and Yale schools,
and then it got to Canada and the US. In the summer 2004 Mark Zuckerberg became
the company president. In June 2004, Facebook moved its place from operations
to Palo Alto,
California. And it resaved its first investment form PayPal wish domain
the name Facebook in 2005 for $200,000 .So, it begin to receive many users till
August 26,2008 it receives 100 million users in the past 1665 days and it kept
developing till now in September 22/2011 it had 800 million users. The company
has divided itself into many ownership wish makes Mark Zuckerberg gets 24% from
his company wish is the rest of the company gets 76%. In 2006 Facebook profit
reached $52million and it is still raising till now it get about $4.27 billion which
means that Mark Zuckerberg at 27 years old is worth $1024.8million.
If you want to join Facebook then you must register before using the site, after which they may create a
personal profile, add other users as friends, and exchange messages, including
automatic notifications when they update their profile. Additionally, users may
join common-interest user groups, organized by workplace, school or college, or
other characteristics, and categorize their friends into lists such as
"People from Work" or "Really Good Friends”. And if you don’t
want some friends see your pictures or comments there are always a privacy that
you can control. Facebook workers discovered that most of the users are between
18-34 years old wish is about 52% from all the other users. Till now Facebook
have helped lots of people and governments, by sharing news and getting their
votes, there are lots of good stuff but unfortunately there are also bad stuff
like many friends breakup and divorced. And some commit suicide wish of their
secrets life in Facebook.
In my opinion Facebook is a good social networking and it disserves what it get because they
developed 800million people to get access around the world by a simple touch,
and without Facebook, it will be harder to connect to your friends and your relatives.
